conservation awardDavid Bellamy Conservation Awards are made each year to parks which can demonstrate policies showing active concern for the environment. David Bellamy looks at virtually every aspect of park management - from the protection of plant and animal habitats to the efficient use of energy and recycling.

We have since received the following awards:

  • 2009-2017 Gold David Bellamy Conservation Award
  • Special Distinction Award in the 2011 David Bellamy Conservation Award Scheme

Inside Lincoln CathedralWe are only three quarters of a mile away from the lively seaside resort of Mablethorpe which has a variety of attractions including, a range of shops, play centres and funfairs. Mablethorpe's Famous Sand Train has been operating on the beach since 1952, providing pleasure rides along the wonderful golden sands, even the dog can have a ride!

Further inland are the market towns of Alford, Spilsby and Louth which are full of quaint shops, historic houses and beautiful churches. These towns are worth visiting to experience the Lincolnshire country way of life.

Just over an hour's drive away is the historic cathedral city of Lincoln.  Must visits include the cathedral itself, Lincoln Castle and a walk down Steep Hill (and then back up!) for a wide array of shops or to stroll beside the Brayford Pool.

Situated on the East Coast at Mablethorpe's North End, a regular bus service/land train will take you to the bustling town centre of Mablethorpe (three quarters of a mile).

The park has easily accessible beach access by crossing the road into the beautiful sand dunes which give way to the vast expanse of glorious beach.

From Mablethorpe you have access to a wide variety of bus routes which will take you most parts of this fabulous county.

The nearest train station is Skegness.


From the A16, take the A157 and follow the signs to Mablethorpe. Follow the A1104 into Mablethorpe High Street until the T-junction at the end. Turn left onto Quebec Road. Follow Quebec Road for three quarters of a mile and then turn left into Holivans.
